...one more time, for the cheap seats.

On a last minute decision, I decided to head back up to North Conway, NH to my parents condo on Mt. Cranmore to get some skiing in. My skiing experience so far this year, has been somewhat lackluster.....thus my lack of motivation to go. But...good things come to those who wait....and wait, I certainly did....all. season. long.

The second-to-last weekend of skiing at Cranmore was, by far, the best skiing I've had all season. And as many of you New Englanders may know....March isn't typically known for it's pristine ski conditions. But the weekend was absolutely gorgeous...not a cloud in the sky Friday or Saturday. We drove up Friday morning, and my Dad and I didn't waste a minute before hitting the slopes.

Mt. Washington was clear as a bell again, which made my job as a amateur photographer quite easy. In the foreground, you can see the "triple chair" on Mt. Cranmore, that used to be the only lift that went to the summit. It's vintage.

I took the picture above from one of the trails on the mountain. It's actually three pictures stitched into one, so if you click on it...you might be able to see it a bit clearer. Regardless, the shot is of Whitehorse Ledge (left) and Cathedral Ledge (right) near downtown North Conway.

When my Dad and I skied down to the base-quad lift, there were a couple visitors pestering the lift attendants for food. I guess the liftys get bored just loading people onto chairs...hah.

On Saturday, I got to ski with a bunch of friends...which was awesome. We had a blast, because the day was so beautiful...not to mention...we made a couple trips to the Pub at the bottom of the mountain.

And last but not least, I got to ski with my friend Andy...who leaves for Hawaii this week to start a new life with his girlfriend Laurel...so he needed to get his skiing fix before he's inundated with palm trees, coconuts, sand, and sun. Good luck, Andy!! We'll miss you!!
